A short road trip

Happy hump day all!  Last week our whole fam-dam took a road trip the the grand old state of Texas.  Mr. Mac's grandmother had a very special birthday and we all surprised her for it!  I was worth the 11 hour drive there and back.  It will be a trip we remember forever!

On the way down there I rode with my brother/sister-in-law, and my favorite nieces and nephew!  So being the crazy aunt that I am, I tried to capture all the amazing moments on film instagram :)
Nonna so graciously got these books on "tape" for the kids to listen to, and they loved them! Especially E!

Technology these days...G documented our trip on his iPod note app.  SO CUTE!  (can we take a minute to look at how cute he is?  Such a trendy fella with his flat billed hat)

Coloring on your very own cookie sheet turned dry erase board is hard work I tell ya.  I have to say S did the best out off all the kids traveling for so long.  Such a sweetie :)

After 6 long hours in the car we arrived to the wonderful Las Vegas...............New Mexico (a place of false advertising).  We got settled into our "spacious" room....3 adults....3 kids....2 queen beds....can you say ballers???!!!???  As we get into bed we take note of the plush pillows...
Y'all I am not kidding you this pillow is the size of a throw pillow that you would put on your couch!!  It was terrible!  A hotel trip I unfortunately will never forget :(  #traveling #fail

If you see my tweets over there ---->  you will see all these tweets about conferences....let me explain...every time my brother-in-law had a conference I tweeted it!  Told you I was an awesome aunt!!  This I believe was conference 5.  "Behavior at Cattleman's"
Typical E: looking very remorseful
Typical S: out in la-la land totally not paying attention

The best conference that was held was #3...you will be thankful there is not picture.  It consisted of bro-in-law flying out of his little cot in the hotel room to yell at the kids...in his undies...haha.

For the special occasion (nana's b-day) we went to a restaurant called Cattleman's where movies are filmed and it has a petting zoo.  It was a blast (complete with a singing telegram...dressed in a banana costume!  It was just as awesome as it sounds...oh and he had a fake British accent...even better!) and the food was delish!
Butter and sour cream anyone?  See everything really is BIGGER in Texas :)

Peacocks or as G called them "peahawks"

Balancing goats...

Hairy-eyed llamas....

Extra LONG-longhorns....wowza!!!

Go buffs!!

Mac family's future blogger :)  She took her job VERY serious...more serious than me!

Although this is in the middle of the desert, it was beautiful.

With a full tummy and 100 degree heat this sweet doll was down for the count!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY NANA WE LOVE YOU!!!!
bad pic but here she is with all her grandsons...they recreated a picture they took when they were just little kids!  Such a memorable trip!  Until next time.....
