Thankful....

Let the holidays begin!  The next month is my absolute favorite time of year....I love love love everything about the Thanksgiving through Christmas period of time!  I may or may not have our house totally decorated for Christmas :)   But for now lets focus on Thanksgiving and give it the much deserved attention (it's kinda like Thanksgiving is the forgotten middle child...no?)

I have always loved Thanksgiving even as a lil kid....but as an adult the traditions Mr. Mac and I have started as our own little family are so fab.  We will wake up tomorrow and watch the Macy's Parade, make the sweet potato casserole, prepare an appetizer, get ready and head on over to my brother and sister in-laws house.  But the funny thing about Thanksgiving is that, the short list of things we will do even before we leave our house, are all things to be thankful.  I found this on Pinterest the other day and I thought it was perfect.....

Thankful
Because in the big picture of life, it is these small things we forget to be thankful for....instead they are burdens, or put us in bad moods...when in actuality they are all blessings to us!

So instead of listing all the things I am grateful for, this weekend I will just pray that God opens my eyes and heart to all the little things I forget about!

Ultimate Recap!

In hope of returning to my regularly scheduled blogging...here is the ultimate recap of the last month!

Our group of peeps from church had a Halloween party!  We were nerds...get it?  The party was fab and we had a blast!!!
Apparently this is how I think nerds look....Mr. Mac on the other hand wears it well ;)

A motley looking crew if you ask me!

One of my besties got married at the beginning of the month.  Her wedding was at a super gorgeous old hotel downtown.  I always LOVE this pose, and took this even before the photographer came.  I need to change professions.

The day after the wedding was my birthday, so Mr. Mac and I stayed the night at the hotel (seriously my favorite thing in the world is to stay in nice hotels) and got to order room service...SCORE! We stayed at the same hotel the night of our wedding, and they have the best french toast ever!  And that is how I started the year of the big 2-7!!

I also brought 27 in with the best birthday card EVER!  A girl at my work made this card and on the right is how to say happy birthday in all sorts of languages!  SO FUN :)

I successfully completed my first sewing project!  With help from my mom and grandma, but I did all the sewing myself!  WOOT WOOT! PS these are money envelopes via Pinterest :)  I am not that creative people!

**Blog intro**
This is Summer...her husband is Mr. Mac's boyfriend Josh.  They lead our small group, and have been one of the biggest blessings to us this year!  I am sure you will see them more on here, as it seems like we are connected at the hip do a lot of fun things together!
Cue: Twilight: Breaking Dawn #2....funny story about this pic...when trying to instagram it one of the filters changed my hair straight up gray!!!  Now I know what I will look like if that ever happens, and all I can say is thank you Lord for hair dye :)

I will not spoil anything about the movie, but what I will say is that if you can have cocktails while watching this, I highly advise it.  K Stew's acting is.........TERRIBLE!!!  nothing new, but one would think that as time goes on it would get a little better....it.doesn't.  So we sat at the movie theater bar and had drinks while the guys sat at a football game.  Match.Made.In.Heaven!!!

Ok this recap brings us to the present!  Work is finally at a manageable state, and I am just coming to terms that our life is going to always be busy...but maybe it is just blessed not busy???  I don't know....although we have our Christmas decorations up, I cannot help but feel beyond thankful lately!  God has been so good to us this year, and although we did not go to bed until 11 almost every night last week, I can't help but to reflect and cherish every moment of it.  From spending time with friends, to watching our nieces cheer, and nephew sing, chatting with family (young and old)....I cannot praise Him enough for giving me such wonderful people to be so tired over.

Make it a great Monday ya'll!
