Mother's Day 2012

To say Mr.Mac and I had a busy weekend would be an understatement!!  On Saturday I went with my mom to get Mother's Day pedicures (and forgot to take a pic) and then Mr. Mac met us for lunch!  And for some reason the only picture that resulted in that was this one...my mama took!  She was there I promise, and we did  celebrate her...I PROMISE :)  Love you mama!!!

My hur is lookin' good man!

After lunch I did a little speed cleaning sesh cuz my casa was looking like dirt devils lived EVERYWHERE and it was driving me ba-nana-s!  Then it was off to meet up with a friend to look at venues for her engagement party!  Our first stop had these....

"Southern Fried Pickles"....SHUT.THE.FRONT.DOOR!!  These were one of the best things I have ever had!  Unfortunately the place was too small so I won't be having these any time soon :(

Another bar later and I was home at 12:30...that is late for me!!  We had a busy day on Sunday too, and I was already spent..ha! We went to lunch with the whole Mac fam at a yummy Italian place...where I had the best Italian Wedge Salad!

My nieces and nephew made me this for mother's day...and although I am not someone's mama yet I am an Aunt and that is the next best thing...I totally cried when they gave me this

Each kid wrote 3 reasons why they love Aunt Bri...so freaking cute...
S said: She braids my hair, she is nice, she takes me shopping
E said: She has a cool dog, she makes pancakes at the cabin, she goes shopping with me
G said: she has a cool dog, she comes to my baseball games, she is funny (he signed it and drew a heart) so precious :)

Appreantly without my dog I wouldn't be as cool so thanks Lexi for keeping it real!

After lunch we stopped by mom's house and hung out with her and my aunt and grandma.  It was such a wonderful day and I am so blessed to have such wonderful mom's!  Love you :)

14 tons and then 3 more...

Backyard project 2012....COMPLETE!!!  On Saturday we had 14 tons of river rock delivered to the casa! (note: the exclamation point...this was me making myself excited for adventure)  We woke up at the good ol' crack of dawn and hit the ground running...kind of...

Mr. Mac went and picked up this fun toy...
at this point the project looks fun :)

And I went and got breakfast for the troops coming over...BTW we are sooo lucky to have family that lives in a 5 mile radius...THEY ROCK!! Pun intended :)

And then I waited for this to show up...

at this point project is NOT looking so fun...THIS IS 14 FREAKING TONS OF ROCK  MMKK??

Seriously the length of that pile is LONGER than our house...and about 4 feet out of the curb and like 3 feet high...BOOO!!  Oh and once we had finished the back yard we realized we did not have enough rock to do along the fence so guess what???  WE ORDERED 3 MORE TON!!!  It's okay you don't have to be jealous...

Since I was busy getting my tan on moving all that rock the photo ops were not taken in action sorry, but all you really missed out on was massive sweaty-ness in not so cute hauling rock around poses soo you get the picture :)

But I did manage to get some before and after shots...

Yes the yard got a little tore up but that's ok because I married Mr. Revive himself so no big deal :)

And the front of the casa
Flowers are alive and kicking...or something like that...

We could NOT have done this without our fams helping out!!!  Well except for G he was busy gettin' his Play Station on...in Uncle's chair :)

And S who was busy playing on Papa's new riding mower for the cabin :)
LOVE HER!!!

Catch-up...via iPhone

IIII'MMMM BAAAACK!!  By no conscious choice I toatlly been MIA.  So here is a little recap of the last month via the iPhone!

Mr. Mac and I have our very first family holiday at our house!  20 adults and 6 kids later we hosted Easter!!

a little Easter prep...and the kid's table goody baskets

the world's cutest kid ever...not preppy or anything :)
Sidebar: 3 has got to be the cutest age!  Little B is calling me on the phone now and is more obsessed with Mr. Mac than ever!  Love him to pieces :)

adventures in gardening!  I planted some petunias and roses in the front yard...and so far they are still alive!

I was at Hallmark the other day and I saw these Family Trees and thought they were such a neat idea!  You hang the frames and sayings below on the tree above!  You can either use the people that come in frame or put your own in there...whoever looks better ;)

Lexi has been seen sporting her new summer collar...she is channeling her inner wild side...see below :)

The view from above...

And I guess you can say I have been channeling my wild side...maybe...a little??  If you have not had one of these Beer Rita things...YOU HAVE GOT TO!!  Highly recommend ***** 5 starts ya'll!!

We have this really awesome project we are doing this weekend...it's called let's move around 14 tons of rock into our backyard...I CAN'T WAIT!!  Oh the joys of home ownership :)
