Puttin' on the Ritz!!

We had a very fun evening at the Ritz Carlton on Saturday night!  Between last weekend in Vegas and this weekend at the Ritz I pretty much feel like I am at the top of the baller's list right now...it was a short stay but at least I made it :)  Now I am back to clipping coupons and watching trashy gossip TV.

So my work throws an awesome end of year party complete with prizes, booze, and food!  Now as everything else in my life, I succeeded to take pictures in the beginning but then forgot to the rest of the night....soooo here is what I have.  Please enjoy :)

First off is this room that was tucked away in hotel but my snoopy a$$ found it.  I have now seen what a wedding at the Ritz would look like...I can now die a happy woman :)

I just want to point out that the centerpiece is a candelabra, as it is NOT hanging from the ceiling, which would make it a chandelier.  It is beautifully placed on top of the center pic with the clear box with flowers in it.  Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous YO!!!!

Just like any little kid, I naturally needed to visit the bathroom...so I can make sure that all toilets are in deed the same....everywhere (in America anyways).  But what is different are soap dispensers...

 ...and this is "LIQUID SOAP"...just to clarify...you know in case you were wondering...I digress :)

Paper towels....PU-LEEEZ???!!!???  They were not warm though...you really screwed that one up Ritz...way to go!

Today is a very special post because we have a shout out to a debut of one of my most loyal readers (you know cuz I have so many....NOT) so here she is........................................Meet Jess

I got recognized at this shin dig for being awesome AND I won a portable DVD player!  All in all it was a great night, with great peeps!  We went out after and had some drinks with some other couples and called it a night at 1am!  I have my days when I am not the funnest person at work kinda like today but I am proud to work for the company I do, and I love most of my co-workers :)  Oh and welcome to the blog Jess!!!!  I will start posting random pics of you and I will also start referencing you too...k?

  

You know you're an adult when.....

Today I am writing from a very gloomy and overcast/about to snow CO!!  We have had quite a bit of snow this year...which I love :)  Something about these kinds of days makes me totally okay with being at work, but I will admit it would be nice laying in bed watching Sex and the City movies :)  I am missing Vegas today, but we have a fun weekend ahead of us!  My company does their "holiday" party in January after all the year end numbers have been posted....so tomorrow night you can catch us here...

Okay back to the post...ADD much??? yes no???

So lately I have been having these little moments in life where I think to myself oh man "you know you're an adult when..."  and I thought it would be good to make fun of my boring adult life...that way it sounded MUCH cooler than it really is...k?

"YOU KNOW YOU ARE AN ADULT WHEN..."

...you wake up at 7:30 on Saturday mornings, have a cup of coffee...start a load of laundry...and clean every inch of your house, and realize it is 2:30 in the afternoon when you are done!  You used to WAKE UP at 2:30 :)

...you make a grocery list that is categorized by sections/aisles of the store, and when you have a coupon for that item you write "(c)" next to that word.  You're list used to consist of Red Bull and other various alcoholic mixers :)

...you actually get outwardly excited over how much money you can save using coupons or emails while shopping....HELLO KOHL'S CASH!!??!!

...Girl's nights that used to start at 10:00 are now over by 10:00 and you are in bed by 11, and that is late!!

...you talk to your BFF on the phone and in the background you  hear "Mommy I pee pee!"  or anything that starts with the word Mommy :)

...you can't wait to be a mommy yourself :)

...you take NyQuil at 8p.m. so you can "sleep in"

...you lay in bed thinking about work :(

...you have a budget...AND you stick to it!

...your husband asks "what's for dinner?" and it is up to you to answer, and then follow through :)

...the big question is no longer "when are you getting married?"...it is "when are you having kids?"

...you have preferred cleaning supplies

...you the gifts you get for Christmas/birthdays consist of things like: a steam mop, gift cards to home decor stores, a kitchen-aide, etc....

...you are are excited to receive the above gifts :)

...you do laundry on a weekly basis and if you don't you get a little anxious about it

...and lastly...

...YOU WRITE A FREAKIN BLOG POST ABOUT IT !!!!!!

VIVA LAS VEGAS!!!!

A week has already passed, and I am kinda sad about it :(  Vegas was a BLAST!!!  We had so much fun...it was a much needed weekend away.  We woke up bright and early on Friday morning to leave, and when you are going to Vegas WHO CARES what time you have to get up...really?!?  I sat next to a couple who was getting married there...so she talked my ear off and we arrived at about 10am....let the fun begin!!!

We had a tasty lunch at Hash House-a-GoGo and the boys got them some FOOD....

 A very successful attempt at the man vs. food menu item.  This puppy had potatoes, biscuits, chicken, bacon, gravy, and I am sure something else I am forgetting...and he ate.all.of.it!!!!

 Mr. Mac had chicken n' waffles...the waffles had bacon cooked in them....it's a guy thing I guess :)

One of the best things about Vegas is the buffets...we may have eaten at 2 while we were there.  My SIL and I took down some crab!!!!

I couldn't wait to walk around the Bellagio...it is always so pretty and the garden just makes me happy!  Since Chinese New Year was on Monday everything was decorated for that, and it was beautiful!

The trip was wonderful and we had a great time with all our friends, and judging by this post I also learned a lot of great grammar :)  Don't judge I choose not to edit this thing!!

Randomness....

I am happy to report that today is my Thursday!!!  My SIL turns the big 3-0 today (HAPPY BIRTHDAY LADY!!) and in celebration we are heading to Vegas on Friday with some great friends!  I am beyond excited to get the heck out of dodge and just have a great time with great peeps :)  I will try to be on the picture ball so I can do a fun post when we come back!

So I don't have anything exciting to post about so I thought I would give y'all some randomness :)

• I totally have Beiber fever :)  He plays on my Pandora a lot and I just really like him...in a non creeper way :)

• Pandora also makes me want to be a gangster rapper at least once a day.  Like how in the heck do they talk that fast?  And better yet...what can't I talk that fast?  HUH?

• Mr. Mac and I have made this year the year that we get healthy and things are going great!  I am so proud of us, but really really proud of Mr. Mac...he is doing so good :)

• I am personally referring to it as the B squared diet...because one I am going to be a bridesmaid in a wedding, and well you can guess the other "B" ;)

• I am in love with our house...

• Puppy Mac is totally convinced she is a human.  Case in point...this is how she watched football on Saturday...

• I think I love Pinterest a little more every day...it might be a problem

• I have no idea what I am going to wear this weekend

• Yes I am really thinking/stressing about what to wear...don't judge :)

• I am not allowed to check a bag on the plane...ummmm so where is my hairspray going to go?  Just asking....

• I am starting a Beth Moore bible study on the book of Revelations...and I am pretty pumped for it!!

New Digs for Mr. Mac!!

Hello ya'll!!  Life is finally settling down and we getting back into the swing of things :)  Mr. Mac has gone back to work and all the holidays are celebrated, and all traces of them are packed away for another year.  That being said  Mr. Mac not only got new digs personally but also professionally!  His school build a new building and they got to move in last week.  It is such a nice place...especially coming from the old building.  So I met him one day so I could take a look and the new place and snap some pics...for the blog of course :)

The shower....complete with the shower curtain version if the periodic table of elements :)  He just cracks me up!  Oh and that lonely desk is the "Group of 1" a.k.a you in trouble!

So exciting to have your own storage!  He has quite the collection of things from his students over the last few years!

Brand spankin' new!!  With all those sinks and cabinets...he is so excited!

Technology these days is amazing!  They had these smart boards when I was in college, but come on in middle school?!?  It is crazy...in middle school I am pretty sure we were still using chalkboards!

I am super proud of Mr. Mac and for how hard he works to provide for us, and having a pretty place to work is always a nice bonus!

Hey I am only a couple of days late...no big deal :)  I hope ya'll had a great new year...we had a wonderful weekend!  We really just laid low and didn't do too much.  Ok maybe I went shopping for most of the day on Saturday, but then I had to go into work for a couple of hours so I totally deserved it :)

Oh and I got to wear these pretties for the first time...IN LOVE!!!!  I thought they were the perfect NYE shoes...they look like the ball that drops in Times Square :)  Dork I know....

Anywho I digress about the Toms.  The house is coming a long wonderfully!  Mr. Mac just went back to work from winter break today!  So he has done big work by himself...I got this picture from him yesterday...

So I had originally picked lime green as my accent for the bedroom but once we got everything in there it did not look soo good.  I went with dark purple and couldn't be happier with it!  Mr. Mac had painted the lamps (they were green) and sent me this pic.  I am obsessed with the bedroom...that bed is a little bit of heaven!  We are waiting for a little project to come in the mail to hang above the bed...and it will all be complete.  I also saw this on Pinterest and thought it would add some fancyness to the lamps...in gray and white...
